Intro
Oh my goodness, ladies and gentlemen, 7.2 came out just about three months ago. The 3 big updates were finally able to grind Echoes of Vana'diel the Walk to Jeuno loot and rewards, Comsic Exploration, and Occult Crescent. Sadly though I have not tried both new contents lol... due to time and such. From what I heard The two new content are good for those who want to do more in FFXIV.
Nothing much is going on with me on FFXIV like I said it is because of me being busy at the farm and just waiting for new content to come out.
So before I talk about the FFXIV Live Letter I gotta say to the readers and the ones too I guess I hope you read this?
Happy 5th Anniversary of me playing FFXIV
I've been playing FFXIV for five years now. I started after watching Mr. Happy's restart video and some episodes of MMO Junkie. Initially, I was hesitant, and during my first two months, I struggled as a tank and made many mistakes. Eventually, I managed to clear A Realm Reborn but took a break. I returned in October, bought a skip pass, and played through Shadowbringers, unlocking all the raids and alliances. By 2021, I finally understood how to play the game.
Despite the falling out of content from the ups and downs to the negatives and positives I will forever be grateful for FFXIV
SteamDeck Proton 10 hotfix
If you are playing FFXIV on the Steam deck expect to just play it on Proton 8.5 and wait until the official Proton 10 is released. Why you ask well... it will just fix the login screen lmao...
Proton 10 beta and 9 you are pretty much stuck and can't login that why you must switch to proton 8.5.

Ok So now onto what happened during the live letter.
For the very 1st part of this live letter they showed us when 7.3 will be released and I am surprised that it wasn't going to be at the end of July but very very early August maybe around the 5th or the 12th?
We are given previews of the MSQ and the MSQ Dungeons.
Earlier this year they mentioned that 7.3 would be the finale of the DawnTrail Storyline and 7.4-7.5 would lead up to the next expansion assuming that it will be at the end of 2026. Or early 2027? Meaning Media tours in the US will probably start around the summer or the fall of 2026?
I do have a prediction on how it will end on 7.3 and the lead-up to the next expansion.
Ever since last summer, Yoshi-P teased that from Dawntrail onwards we may go onto a multiverse time continuum going to a different dimension. This means we may be warped in a world like Stormblood as a Daimyo feudal lord "Well yoshi-p did tease that lol. Where we just suddenly somehow lead an army to war out of nowhere. Maybe the bad guy did this to us or another hole opened like that other hole back in Endlwaker 6.2?
- The bad guy could warp us into another period or world
- I might be just another hole that the bad guy opens and we drop in
- Disappointing 7.3 ending onwards lmao?

I and the rest of us have noticed that one of the stages does look like the one place in FF9 lol.
Alliance Raids for 7.3
I am super excited for the next Alliance raids for FFXI San d'Oria. Will we get to know more of the 2 mysterious characters? Haha and why FFXI? haha. I love how the first part coincides with the MSQ how the villain uses the room with its imaginary powers.

It only affects a player's environment. Meaning only in the game world and not in dungeons yet? On what you have pre-selected by turning it off or on. You can see the different background colors in these screenshots. This feature isn't something they're releasing and then forgetting about they will improve or change it based on player feedback. If you have too much text showing up If the text is too long, you will have to check your chat window and maybe? Resize or edit as "only party chat" or "only shout chat".

Damn I am excited for this patch to come very very soon
I am not very negative about these things.
However, I understand the uproar because we all felt it. 6.2 and onwards was the tipping point of them kinda falling behind a bit. Even the Elder Scrolls Online dev said that any online game right now needs to be competitive because the very hardcore players can’t wait for an update. Again I think it’s just the Japanese mindset of how things are being placed and being made. Because one change can lead the player’s leaving hella fast or vice versa etc…
change is tough they say if it ain’t broken don’t fix it lol or if it is then they need to fix it but it could kick out the current players based but also bring new players in.
Soo yeah Dawntrail is toast one player said by then 7.3 could see it dropping

I’m hoping the ones who are selected for FFXIV 8.0 NA media tour aren’t going to kiss Yoshi-P's ass but instead, question and address/ raise the concerns on numerous things hoping 8.0 will fix those mistakes so that way he will personally understand lol.
Square Enix kinda pushed Yoshi-p cs3 production team into doing tactics remake and making plans for ff17. Sure yoshi- p ain’t doing it but the resources are taken from Leaving ff14 in the dust. While ff11 and ff7 remake 3 are left alone from there individual teams.
