Z2a $599 or get the Z2 Extreme $999
If you have been following the AMD handheld scene for 2 1/2 years now, ever since the Steamdeck, not much has really changed except uhhh more powerful graphics core onto the APUs's
And a new wave of handhelds is coming really, really soon. And some are already here.
You may have heard that XBOX is teaming with Asus on their ROG Ally Handhelds.
While the rest of AMD's lines of Z2 APUS are on the market.
And I'm just going to be blunt about it for a sec
They're just the same, every single one of them!!!
They're really expensive, and like, what's the difference?
In Cooling pshh Please....
Comparing the Z1 towards both the Z2A and the Z2 go it is just 30% faster in comparison.
8050s is $1,300 or 8060s is 1,600 or soo?
GPD Win 5 specs
AMD Ryzen™ Al Max+ 395 / Ryzen™ Al Max 385
AMD Radeon 8060S Graphics / 8050S Graphics / 2900 Mhz / 2800 Mhz
up to 128GB LPDDR5X @ 8000 MT/s
Between Z2 and 8060s, they are all really powerful, but can Microsoft's own Gamemode deliver on the experience like on the Steam Deck? Only time will tell lol.
These are gonna cost you an arm and a Leg.
The AMD Ryzen™ AI Max+ 395 processor with Radeon™ 8060S Graphics is just a niche Handheld APU expenisve for the size. But you must understand that these are faster than an RTX 4060.
Very good for 1080P but somewhat ok on 1400P, depending on the game settings.
Design-wise, it's just the same lol.
I have to admit that having all that power under a pocket computer gaming handheld is cool.
You may think I am a Lord Gaben fan and such.
Sadly, I prefer the design of the Steam Deck over a more powerful Windows handheld any day, even if it means sacrificing the frame rate to 45 FPS than having a locked 60 lol.
From the reports that I read expect a new Steamdeck with a powerful one around 2027? lol maybe wait on a steam os console? lmao ahaha
$599.99 for a Steam Deck OLED, and customer support is available through their RMA department.
Software is very goood even though it is kinda complicated. However, it's a way better experience than a Windows handheld.
Idk man, it's kinda up to you if you really want it lmao.
However, for me, I'll continue to use my Steam Deck.
Side Note: I am very, very surprised by Phil Spencer's recent comments on XBOX from the last year, and OMFG "He didn't live up to his words lol". I realize that I was right on the XBOX Brand 8 years ago. I comment on how Windows was the superior Product, and XBOX is a Cancer. With the Rumors going around that The Next-Gen XBOX consoles will lmao.. in fact have GOG and Steam on it, and assuming the Epic launcher will be on the Xbox dashboard? IDK by then, Just get a PS6 or just keep on playing on your PC from the last Decade.
