It's really that time of year again for Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals, but tbh I'm not gonna get anything lmao...
The only Game I play is FFXIV, so benchmark-wise, I don't think I will ever upgrade until my RTX 3060 Ti is broken or until GTA6 breaks it. Since FFXIV and the older games run great at 1440P and are especially freaking good at 1080P lol
I bought the Graphics card around May 2022, exactly three years ago, and I feel like the CPU I upgraded from the 3600x to 5800x last year is the same thing, but with more cores. It's far better than using an I7 4790 lol.
That's why I won't give myself FOMO over graphics cards lol...
Until it breaks.
If you're still using a 3600x, just keep using it lol.
My Steam Deck is probably the main machine that I play FFXIV frequently on since September 2022, because it's Portable, uses less energy, and the control setup is the best.
It's my Favorite novelty item that I use for gaming every day.
I will definitely get the Steam Machine lol... whenever the prices are out for next year.
The 18-year-old "Q6600 Core 2 Quad" PC is running freaking great on Arch Linux in the i3 window manager. Watching YouTube videos is good, looking at Indie websites is awesome as well. Thanks to the GTX 750ti with FFMpeg and H. 2. 64 encoders, downloading YouTube videos at 60fps is awesome. It's my favorite computer that I rescued on July 24, 2022.
Linux is still awesome if you have an old computer from the last 5-10 years.
