Concise description of lake photo for screen readers or if image fails to load.

A very good movie seen in Cantonese

Do You Know who Jackie Chan is? In 2026, lol?

Jackie Chan is 71 years old lol He's hella old lmao haha.

You may know that he was in the Karate Kid movies from this year, called Karate Kid legends, and the one from 2010, also called The Karate Kid." Even though they use Kungfu and not really karate lol...
You may also be familiar with His cartoon show, Jackie Chan Adventures, 2000-2005, or famously his Rush Hour movies.

He was made a megastar after the death of Bruce Lee and right after the end of Bruce Lee's exploitation films. Well, he was in this one scene where Bruce Lee punched him at the underground level in Enter the Dragon. "Well, it's a freeze-frame second if you look very closely.

And by the mid-80s and throughout the 90s, he was the guy behind Sammo Hung and Yuen Bao.

Since you know who Jackie Chan is now, Why Am I telling you to watch the Cantonese version of Rumble of the Bronx? What's the movie about?

Quick Overview

A Hong Kong cop visits his uncle, who got married to a black girl lol.He fights a Gang that terrorizes his Female Friend, who is technically a secondary female character. However, the Next Door neighbor, Unbeknownst to him, the Main Female Lead is part of the gang, who is like the girlfriend of the main leader of the gang.

She does have a younger bro who is in a wheelchair. A cool part in the beginning of the movie is when He gave the kid a Sega Nomad or Sega Game Gear at the bus stop lol haha that was pretty cool. While the store is crushed into pieces.

After finding out who the gang is and somewhat understanding their motivation, Jackie is now conflicted about fighting another dangerous villain, one more dangerous than the gangs he encounters throughout the movie. Because the Secondary villains want his freaking diamonds lol...Blah blah blah, he fights the bad guys, and he wins.

Cantonese Dub all the way

This version has him speak Cantonese, and it does sound kinda odd at first, but it does seem cooler than the English dub in general lol.

My favorite scene with the kid at his home "Cantonese version:"

In The scene at the Goons' hideout, where Jackie fought them all over the pool and Pinball area, After he defeated them he made notable speech in Cantonese. However, In the Eng Dub it does kinda seem off-putting at first.

Though he does speak English in some scenes when necessary.

English or Cantonese won't matter, it's just the same experience, but Cantonese does sounds way cooler lmao. The Eng dub is just quite odd. The whole movie is set in New York despite filming in Vancouver. You can find the Hong Kong Version on the Internet Archive.

Highly recommend it
