Intro

Hello fellow warriors of light, how has it been since I wrote about FFXIV lol.. It's been quite a long time since February lol...

I have just never really ground much on the game itself since March lol... Yeah...

It doesn't mean I didn't like the game, it's that I am just waiting for patch 7.5 to come as soon as Possible. Taking a very, very, very long break lol. The worst part is now that 7.5 part 1 is over, with smaller patches coming soon and Berlin Fan Fest in July, plus the Finale of 7.5 part 1 is in September. It's going to be a very, very long wait ahead of us players.

Before I talk about NA Fan Fest Anaheim , which just happened 3 weeks ago. Let's first talk about what really went down on patch 7.5, plus the Finale of Echoes of Vana'diel part 3.


Patch 7.5 Part 1 Spoilers

I will only point out the important sections that are happening here.

While the gang is checking out the crystal, it's been told that it's been carried by a traveller who goes to whomever and to wherever they please. They then get an emergency call from Taru Taru that there's some disturbance around the FFXIV Endwalker place.

We caught up with Alphinaud and Alisaie, plus other characters, regarding a check-up with Zero.

Yes, we are actually going to character check up with Golbez and Zero the hole in 6.1.

So, from my understanding, the holes that contain that world cannot hold any longer due to the barrier they're trying to put a band-aid on. That's why monsters have been roaming around in the source.

This new dungeon is not hard, but a breeze to go through. Just keep your eyes on the AOE attack and be really quick to avoid being hit.

So we go back to the moon, and we try to merge the Azem Shard with the crystal. When they both merged, it brought "us the players" to a dark void, calling us.

Murmuring to us on repeat

Hold fast to what you must, and meet your fate without fear.
Go forth. Discover.
Unite the stars unto one.
Let none bar your path.

It leads to a bright light, a big flame, a bright eye like that big eye tower thing in lord of the Rings path, where we hear something happening, and then we cross the bridge to the next. We then find monsters roaming around, and suddenly find Zero in her white knight attire with Lord Gobelz at the helm.

We finally catch up with both of them. I guess the path between their world and our world in the source is kind of sealed off and can't come back, I believe?

They also mention what weird things are going on in their world since monsters have been rapidly getting out of their world to the source. Both of them know why this is happening.

I am guessing the world between the realms is really ready to burst, or I guess explode, for that matter.

Plus, when Zero is happy to see us, she questions how we got here. We try to explain how the player got here, but she takes a glance and sees no opening.

Meaning this door is only for us to see and those who are worthy.

After we've caught up, we are going to a trial fight. This trial fight is kinda hard, but just stay focused on where it's going to hit you and watch where the AOES are going to land on screen.

After defeating the monster. Zero and Golbez are telling us that their world is fine, doing well, and hope that the source will be in their world. It makes me wonder, just as Solution Nine/Golden city has implanted their world on ours in the source, will their world be in ours? Will all the world in this reality be saved by the source?

As we say our goodbyes to both Zero and Lord Golbez one last time, we came back to the moon and talked to the others about what happened.

While coming back to our world and chatting about what happened, both Helmrut and Calix show up.

Helemrut spews her dialogue about the fourth is the icy world, and how the Solstice will give a rebirth of all the shards, humanity itself will be wiped out, and some will be alive. A true restart.

Her demeanor sounds sincere, but really creepy.

Calix then explained that the Winterers are a group of individuals from the different reflections who think they could save the universe. Even though they don't agree on each other's ideas on saving the shards, they believe they can do it.

But wait, what does the Zeno reaper weapon come upon us?

What does Helemrut meant when she said....

Like the pariah and wanderer who satisfied his own when he brought the star to the brink of ruin to face you.

She then says that neither of them are not gonna stop us and see what will happen afterwards if we interfere with their own plans.

By the end of this MSQ, everyone is gathered at the scantioum getting things ready for what's to come.

Calix then appears to us. again telling us that hey, we're gonna go to the fourth baby.


Echoes of Vana'diel Part 3

The Finale is a very, very sobering, so much so that it gives you a good feeling inside and will also make you cry a little bit in bed. Sareel Ja was a really bad guy in this story, for the wrong reasons.

To recap, around mid-game, Sareel Ja was pretty much thrown off lmao “Just like Tekken 4 intro lol” Because Zoraal Ja doesn’t have any plans keeping him any longer since Sareel Ja is blocking his way. And that’s how Sareel Ja was able to get the power of the re-imagine world of Vana'diel.

He planned to resurrect The Dawnservant Gulool Ja Ja by harvesting its power from the golden city entrance. And take over Tuliyollal.

His plans were pretty much foiled, and with all that talk with the power that he held, the way to talk himself into it falls away very, very quickly in the end.

However, for those two Characters

Prishe was actually the real NPC being brought by our world
Alxaal, on the other hand, represented memories of the players in FFXI, an NPC character that collected numerous memories of their time of adventure in the FFXI world.

I may be wrong here, but I believe that Shantotto said her doll was somehow in the hands of Sareel Ja, and that’s why he could summon these beings from the FFXI world to FFXIV. Due to how powerful the golden city entrance is upon sending or having someone come to the rift.

I just think it would be cool if in FFXI, Prishe would tell FFXI players that she travels to another shard, another world, and encounters a guy named Sareel Ja and eats these wonderful tacos from Tuliyollal. That would be super cool. And she said I hope someday to come back, and maybe you can travel there too. A nod to say hey FFXI players, check out FFXIV DawnTrail lol…

I won’t spoil this ending because you just have to see it for yourself to have your heart and eyes pour out in tears. It's that damn good, so freaking good.

Now the land guards are guarding the door to not let anyone enter or let any monster come out of it.

For Bakool Ja Ja, their character EPILOGUE for this alliance raid is really good.

They didn’t have any idea why they needed to be down servants. They were just being forced by their father and uncle. And so they had no choice but to say no. They were pretty green, but by the end, their hearts turned from a heel to a face as the good guys, since they knew what Sareel Ja was not right, and they had to protect the land thanks to Wuk Lamat's kindness and love. She knows that they have huge potential to overcome their shyness and stubbornness.


Going Back to what we knew+Predictions

OK, so back track this ending. After gathering a lot of information from what everyone thinks.

So the azem key was actually given to us by Emet Selch in Endwalker, and his dialogue is saying the same thing that Yoshi-P had said during the Rising 2022.

I think Emet Selch and maybe Vinah knew that we or another may have to come across this key to the next Realm. And whoever touches this key will have the heart to save the world.

Another thing is that someone said that the logo of Dawn-trail, where the Big A is a cross, kinda symbolizes Azem lol..

The Next interesting part is that maybe when we go back to where the Thunder place is “The 13th” and use that thunder as a leverage to boost ourselves to the 4.

The last interesting part is that Ever-cold may continue with its themes from FF9. Saying that Helemrut is the last of her own people, because of that, she becomes agnostic and has this calm demeanor, like in her speech at the moon. With this, I don’t really care, but I have a confident feeling. With how the stars are trying to rejoin, and that whoever is leading this pack is the end boss, the idea of resetting the world. Etc etc etc

Yoshi_P did mention this, and I thought about my own prediction lol.

One Blogger from Twitter suggested that we shouldn't go that way since it's best not to assume any identity but one of ourselves as the adventurer/warrior of light. To expand our character in depth in the game. I encourage you to read this very, very long bit of their essay, it's such a good read tbh.

Whatever theme is being represented is cobbled up with a bunch of references from each title into one from FF8/FF9/FFX to even FF13 with the ice shards.

This is where we go to the EverCold Trailer and towards NA FanFest 2026

As we saw in the trailer, we hear the same dialogue coming from the Azem shard spinning with the Key to the rift.

We don’t know who the grandma is or who the little girl is; we just know they are retelling the story of how the world was once Sunshine and roses until the world went to Frost. They all flee to the skies until they arrive everything has changed. And the little girl said you mean the traveler? And then the old lady said yes, but in those days we called them the Far Wanderer.

Suddenly, we see the warrior of light Meteor, suit up as the Reaper, standing on a ship? Going to a very cloudy area or maybe going somewhere.

A New Saga starting with Dawn Trail and ending in Ever Cold

We are presented with a New Saga called the Godless Realms. If you have played the Myths of the Realm Alliance raids, then you know right now there are no more Gods in the source, and now it's only just us, the Humans, trying to fight against time and nature, saving people from the shards.

We knew pretty much from the start, way, way back in 2.0, about the shards when they mentioned the Fourth being covered with Ice and so forth. So we are finally here after a decade of mentions.

No More Tombstones!!!!! And the New Armory system

The next big change is removing Tombstones and replacing it with a point system from a daily to a weekly-based system. What this means is that you have the choice to complete your thing and not worry about the " OMG I gotta do it today type of feeling. It just gives you the freedom. The best thing is that if you missed catching those points from last week, you can still regain them.

It's like Wondrous Tails, but using it as a reform duty list.

3,000 points instead of 450 tombstones…

It may change over time with a different interface Ui but we gotta wait until the Berlin and Japan fan-fest.

About the Armory system, items will be synced to whatever job you are doing. For example, if you don’t have that item, you use that other item to sync it to your job? “ I may be wrong on that lol.”

Improve Battle content

My opinion is that I remember when I first played this game what amaze me was seeing people doing fates and randomly joining this huge group of players on defeating monsters. Yoshi-P did say that D-Buff will not kill the server meaning I guess a limited time on Fates popping up every hour of the hour or every minute of the minute cool down.

Less fetch quest and going to point A and Point B>?>?

So there might be a middle ground of Difficulty where its not easy but not to hard on the 8 man Raid

For alliance raid it won’t be too long but kinda dynamic but not too boring or dragging too long? I am guessing choosing routes or figure of math lol?

Same Region Player Matching/Same Region Duty Finder

Remember complaining about why the ques are taking soo damn long when you wanna grind on your tombstones? Or why you have no choice on going to a different server when that server is full.

Now You can Que Across each region

NA players can only que with NA players but I hope in the future you can Que with other places from japan and the EU.

New Jobs announce but sadly will be reveal on Berlin FanFest
The New jobs are a Tank and Range DPS

New Controls??

Reborn Mode – Keeping the same controls as you have been doing, but this will not be present on the newer jobs in 8.0

Evolved Mode – Fewer Inputs with different rotations. New jobs will be present only with this mode. It's basically like PVP controls lol…

My opinion is I am scared but hopeful that it won’t ruin my experience in Ever-Cold, fingers crossed, haha.

Ohh Yeah Nintendo Switch 2 But… it may be worse than the Steam-Deck. Remember, on the Steam-Deck, you can lock the frame rate to 45 on low-setting FSR, and it won’t juggle around in fights. “It is locked on 45 FPS,” but it may go in between in the heavily crowded spaces like the Golden Saucer.

My guess is 30-60 at most, just like RE9. It may be worse.

Just like Micro-Shaft greed on the Xbone XZ, Nintendo is greedier, and you gotta pay for it, but hey, they're gonna give 1 month for free as a trial until August.
