It's been a month and a half since NA FanFest, and 6 more weeks are left until Berlin Fan Fest.
Fans are enjoying the Kefka Ultimate dancing mad raid. And there's the Make It Rain campaign now until June 24.
There is so much speculation about what is or isn't going to happen for 8.0 Evercold.
And I wanted to get this out of my chest: I never realized this up to now, and this could be spoilers if you have not even completed Endwalker MSQ.
One thing I forgot to mention at the NA fanfest is that they're working on bringing a friend with you on duty support. For example, you "the tank" and your friend "the healer," plus the two computer AI companions "two DPS." or maybe 3 players with 1 AI computer partner as well maybe? Hopfully they will speak more of this soon across the fanfest this year.
Did you know that players who continue their 1.0 characters and transfer to a realm reborn without making new ones, Cid will look at you and somehow remember your face, haha. But if you didn't, this small dialogue won't trigger.
First off, I just rewatched Endwalker cutscenes and just realized what Emet-Selch just said to us.
Tell me, have you been to the ruins beneath the waters of the Bounty? Or the treasure islands beyond the frozen waters of Blindfrost, in Othard's north? The fabled golden cities of the New World? The sacred sites of the forgotten people of the south sea isles? What about Meracydia, the southern continent? Do you know aught of its present state of affairs?
...I thought not. Even of your little Eorzea, you know precious little. The true identities of the Twelve, for instance. All of which is to say: expand your horizons. Go forth and seek discovery. Some of the civilizations in the reflections will surprise you. As the bearer of Azem's crystal, you may consider your duty to see at least that much. I certainly did.
Let's dissect what he said that could foretell the next 3 expansions.
I can't think of what he meant by the ruins beneath the waters of the Bounty? According to Reddit 1 and 2 , though, maybe it's Alzadaal's Legacy?.
But OMG, He just said this: the treasure islands beyond the frozen waters of Blindfrost, in Othard's north? Meaning that Evercold will be somewhere up north of Othard's. And of course he mentions the Golden city in the new world DawnTrail.
The sacred sites of the forgotten people of the South Sea Isles? That'd be the next 9.0 subplot? who knows
We do know that Dawntrail was the next evolution of the godless realms. A continuation subplot to the 6.1 series. When the Gods are no longer here, and it's only up to us, the heroes, to overcome the sundering and the rejoining of all the shards into one star. Leading to a major catastrophe of unprecedented proportions.
Thanks to the Azem crystal, it will be easier to travel the next 3 realms compared to what we have done from Shadowbringers.
Timeline for the Godless Realms Era
Every 2 or so 1/2 years of each expansion.
Endwalker 6.1 patches April 2022-July 2024
DawnTrail July 2024-Jan 2027
EverCold Jan 2027-Summer or Fall 2029
9.0 Fall or Winter 2029-spring or summer 2032
10.0 Spring or summer 2032-2036?
To End this thought of mine
If you have played the last 3 expansions from Shadowbringers, Endwalker, and even through the recent patch 7.5, DawnTrail, when you think about it, though, the whole idea of the Sundering has been teased for nearly 6-7 years now. That makes you wonder how it's going to end after 6 more years of predestined content. Will we be able to save the source, or will we, the players ending up sacrificing ourselves?
